Rotation Detective Alarm for AC Cooling Fans, EC Cooling Fans
It is designed for fans and can be directly connected to a buzzer or alarm flashing light. When the fan speed falls below 70%, the alarm will alert to the operator.
Tachometer Function for AC Cooling Fans, EC Cooling Fans
The Tachometer Function (Supplementary) (RDb) control is a collector opener with hardware similar to the Frequency Generator (Tachometer) (FG) control . The output signal goes high when the fan is spinning, but is set low when the fan is stopped or when the power is turned off. This output can be connected in parallel with the RDb of a series of fans that terminate in an alarm device that warns if any of the fans stop working.

As mentioned above, the 2 alarm functions are different, one is based on rotation detection and the other is based on a tachometer with a signal output. The way it warns the operator and the visible signal output is different. This depends mainly on the available equipment and also on the user’s product application.
For example, rotation is detected, so when the speed falls below the set value, the alarm goes off. So, if there is any condition such as high operating temperature; damaged fan or unstable power input that causes abnormal rotation speed, the alarm will go off to alert the operator. In other words, if you have higher requirements for thermal management of your equipment, but you also want to have as little cost as possible, then a cooling fan with Rotation Detective Alarm feature should be your choice.
And the tachometer function, which is great for users who already have their own equipment and detection software. Users are free to set the signal output to suit their needs.
